Established in 2023 within the Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Caltech's Linde Center for Science, Society, and Policy (LCSSP) is a forum for research, education, and debate on scientific innovations and their ramifications for communities and governments around the world.

Our mission is to educate future leaders and to nurture interactions and policy-relevant research, positioning some of the best academic minds at the center of science policy discourse.

Philanthropic contributions enable this work by allowing LCSSP to host postdoctoral fellowships for interdisciplinary scholars, pursue research inspired by the information needs of decision-makers, create impactful educational programming for Caltech students, and convene diverse communities to build and share knowledge.
